Vice President, Science And Technology 2007-Current
Reporting to the CEO and SVP, Washington Operations. Responsible for developing and executing the Corporate technology strategy that strengthens current key technology discriminators, grows new ones that are vital to achieving the corporate business strategy goals organically, through joint ventures and M&A, and divest the company of those key technology discriminators that no longer contribute to the Corporate business strategy. Constantly interact with senior levels of the Federal government (executive and Legislative branches) as well as with senior levels of industry partners. Developed and leading the execution of a successful DoD S&T business strategy that focuses on capturing business from the Defense Agencies and by “influencing the influencers” in the DoD S&T market. • Revitalized the Orbital product line through developing strategic supply agreements, developing new market channels (world wide youth enthusiast/tuner, sports specialty, and critical need fleet), and reducing the unit production cost, resulting in a 400% worldwide sales increase and a 25% margin increase.
• Re-established Exide military customer relationships, resulting in a 120% increase in world military sales.
• Established a major strategic alliance to develop advanced portable stored energy systems. Stock priced reached a new 52 week high after the alliance was announced.
