Corporate re-alignment eliminated the position, however, I was able to obtain a position as a development manager. I am currently seeking a position more aligned with my experience and skills.

Recruited to lead technology efforts of IISERVE’s $10M VC backed Automated Benefits Election business. I was responsible for strategic planning, system operations, building organizational and employee capabilities, and facilitating change. The position reported to the President and led a function of 18 IT professionals until the business was divested in Q2 2001. Major initiatives linked to the business strategy included: · In the first 60 days we manifested a Corporate Change Control action team to monitor all system and application changes to all test and production environments. · Procedure and policy development including: Security, Operations, Planning and Testing, and Developmental methodologies. · Led production deployment of application including system hardware specification, procurement, delivery, setup and implementation within 90 days. Reduced project time by 18%; saving $75,000 · Implemented successful automated testing software facility for functional, regression and load testing. Decreased software testing time by 24%. · Amended existing development model to incorporate scalable architecture to support a 60% increase in system utilization with no additional expenditures. · Reduced system failures on production environments by 43%, resulting in a 7% increase in billable revenue over a 90-day period. · Implemented an enterprise data model that instituted automated data feeds from 4 transactional systems to A/R; decreasing the cash cycle by 48%.
Upon the successful divestiture of the Benefit Management Group, I was asked to lead the overall IT group that provides ASP and Telephony candidate screening services to Fortune 1000 companies, processing over 10,000,000 qualified candidates annually. During divestiture discussions of the Benefits business, IISERVE had expressed an interest in divesting the remaining business and recommended that the COO I be given the challenge of positioning the remaining company for an exit strategy. ORACLE CORPORATION, Raleigh, NC 01/99 to 10/99 Senior Consultant, State and Local Government Provided consulting services to assist state and local government clients in the implementation of Oracle Financial Applications. Analyze client requirements and translate them into application specifications. Used Oracle's AIM methodology for applications implementations. Led participation in the analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of Oracle-based solutions. Key results included: · Technical lead for the financials implementation team on the first worldwide implementation of Oracle Payroll on an OS/390 mainframe. Provided consulting services to all bank Lines of Business regarding client server technology needs and requirements. Key accomplishments included: · Functional lead on bank wide initiative for creating a data-warehouse for Customer banking activity. This application housed all customer activity throughout the bank. Technical Manager – Client Server Solutions 6/97 to 11/97 Recruited to create and manage a client server database services department during the organizations migration into Client Server Technologies. Responsible for staffing and overall technical/systems operation for this growing department. U.S. NAVY, Various Locations 09/82 to 03/93
Began my career in the U.S. Navy. As an Instructor (’86), taught naval personnel fundamental electronic theory as well as system troubleshooting. Promoted to Line Division Manager (’88) to lead 4 direct reports and 205 junior personnel in flight-line operations of the largest aircraft training squadron in the US Navy. I was accountable for all safety-of-flight inspections, servicing, and scheduling of flight activities. Mentored junior service members (avg. tenure < 15 months) into military life, operations, and professional development. As a senior military member for NAVAIR team in 1991,responsible for implementation, configuration of Naval Air Logistics Command Management Information System (NALCOMIS). This application provided workflow, supply chain, and related aircraft maintenance management for all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Naval aircraft.
