In 2004-2005, I was the primary researcher for PIRAs World Refinery Database, a research tool that provides historical context, the current situation and a forecast for every unit at every refinery in every country. I continued to contribute to the World Refinery Database by keeping the ownership database current. In 2005-2006, I was the primary analyst for PIRA Energy Equity Research (PEER). I covered 40 companies in the upstream, downstream and integrated sectors, wrote a monthly report and answered queries from customers. In addition, I managed complex equity models that were used in the preparation of equity market forecasts. In 2007, I returned to the management of the World Refinery Database after the analyst in charge of it resigned. I spent much of 2008 researching global gas-to-liquids and coal-to-liquids capacity, as well as oil sands upgraders. I also researched and produced a global diesel and jet fuel sulfur specification database. In 2009, I moved into a sales position.
