Resume Body      CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER OR CONTROLLER

Dear Recruiters:

Do you seek a chief financial officer or controller with nearly 30 years of experience in consulting with small and middle-market companies?

As a former partner at local and regional CPA firms, I've worked closely with management in all aspects of their operations, including tax planning, financial reporting, budgeting, business valuation, recruiting, technology, and general business consulting.

Having proven what I can accomplish in public accounting, I have decided to seek a new and rewarding challenge as part of a management team in private industry.

Although I'm far more interested in a fine company and an intriguing challenge, you should know that I'm seeking minimum compensation of approximately $150,000.

My resume follows. Thank you.

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER OR CONTROLLER

I bring nearly 30 years of experience in consulting with small and middle-market companies in numerous industries. As a former partner at both large local and regional CPA firms, I specialized in the areas of business consulting, taxation, financial reporting, business valuations, and technology. I also played key roles in developing and managing new areas of business.

However, after a rewarding career in public accounting, including 18 years as a partner working closely with client management on a variety of issues, I have chosen to leave public accounting and utilize my skills in the area of private industry.

My roles in management of a CPA firm and as a consultant to clients enabled me to develop expertise in understanding companies’ financial conditions, working capital needs, and capital expenditures and financing requirements. I also worked closely with management in the budgeting process and cash flow planning.

PRACTICE LEADER - BUSINESS VALUATION SERVICES

I was subsequently chosen in 2002 by the CPA firm to develop its Southern California business valuation practice. Within two years, this profitable new practice, serving small to middle-market companies in numerous industries, grew to two offices with revenues of approximately $1 million. My responsibilities included development of the practice’s business plans, staff recruiting and training, quality control, marketing, preparation of proposals, and preparation and review of valuation reports.

In connection with my new responsibilities at the CPA firm, I also managed the successful transition of my entire tax consulting practice to other partners within the firm.
