My client seeks a:
Global Supply Chain Director
Manage supply chain for a high-volume, electromechanical/mechanical system. Reports include: purchasing, external manufacturing, SiOP, inventory / planning, order fulfillment, contracts, supplier management and supply compliance. Mandate:
" Deliver quantifiable and continually improving results in vendor performance, global supply chain strategy development, cost and lead-time reduction, delivery, ERP, team development and key performance metrics
" Transform supply chain processes by preparing team and core processes for continued explosive growth, aggressive product introduction schedules, and severe ramp ups
" Identify, qualify, develop, audit, measure and manage global supply chain partnerships
" Reduce total cost
" Improve speed to market/lead time reduction
" Hire and build high-performance teams
" Report to VP
This client is looking for a candidate with very precise industry and individual experience. The hiring managers requirements and expectations:
" recent (in the past decade) has grown a corporate supply chain at an extraordinarily fast pace, meeting the demands of aggressive scale ups
" track record of results managing both internal and outsourced supply chain
" supply chain management experience in both small and large corporations
" direct and significant experience sourcing these commodities: electro-mechanical, metal fabricated and casted parts, motors, IT infrastructure
" global sourcing experience especially in low-cost regions
" history of managing external manufacturing during high-growth
" comprehensive global mechanical / electromechanical systems contract manufacturing outsourcing experience
" extensive and effective automation experience including ERP and metrics reporting process
" impressive and quantifiable improvements in supply chain metrics by implementing Lean 6 Sigma, Kaizen, JIT
" bachelor's degree certifications and advanced degrees are valued
(ideal industry experience: both OEM and Contract Manufacturing)
