Executive Job Description | Medical device company specializing in manufacturing cardiovascular catheters is currently hiring a Director of Manufacturing who:

- Has extensive experience with medical extrusion for catheters (IV, CVC, Cardiovascular, etc.)
Duties Include
- Use and application of polymers/extrusion/engineering technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques.
- Manage brand new extrusion lab (cleanroom class 100k), make key purchasing and budgeting decisions for medical extrusion lines, along with downstream equipment, support equipment and accessories
- Oversee Production, Tooling, Materials, Engineering, Quality, etc.
- Responsible for process development and providing solutions to technical problems; designs extrusion tooling/equipment fixtures
- Conceptualize and develop lean manufacturing processes for new business opportunities, which may include new and/or modified plant equipment and process needs.
- Oversee staffing, training, performance evaluation and career development programs- coaching and developing employees
- Maintain regulatory and ISO compliances, documentation, compliance readiness
- Monitor operational performance and set key performance indicators
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience working in thermoplastic extrusion or catheter design for medical device companies
The ideal candidate has extensive catheter extrusion experience, particularly in IV catheters. He also has experience working with radiopaque striping in tubing.
The candidate should also be very enthusiastic about working full-time in China.
Must haves:
1) Hands-on medical tubing extrusion experience of at least 7 years (preferably 10+)
2) Comprehensive understanding of extruding a wide variety of polymers
3) Understands and practices lean manufacturing and statistical analysis in operations
4) Worked in the medical device / manufacturing industry for at least 7 years (preferably 10+)
6) Excited and enthusiastic about working and building a career full-time in China
