Resume Summary
My twenty years of experience with the FBI have given me a broad background in international operations, special events security, crisis management and investigations. My career has been diverse, with experience in criminal investigations, counterterrorism investigations, and intelligence.

Resume Body      FBI EXECUTIVE TRANSITIONING

Throughout my career, I consistently confront the most difficult challenges, solve complex problems such as emergent or crisis situations, and help achieve my organizations goals by collaboratively motivating my peers and subordinates to perform at the highest levels.

Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)
1995-Present

Assistant Special Agent in Charge (ASAC), Newark Field Office
I accepted a promotion to create the newly authorized Special Operations Branch in Newark, New Jersey. The mission of the branch is to consolidate the functional areas of: Security Operations, Crisis Management, Physical Surveillance, Aviation, Covert Technical Operations, Human Intelligence, and Special Event Management.

Ø Supervision of 120 subordinates through 9 direct-report subordinate managers
Ø Managed and approved classified budgets for all responsible functional programs
Ø Consolidated and built the business model for the functional areas: Security Operations, Crisis Management, Physical Surveillance, Aviation, Covert Technical Operations, Human Intelligence, and Special Event Management
Ø Developed joint task force with New Jerseys Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness, as well as with the New Jersey State Police (NJSP)
Ø Reviewed and approved complex and sensitive undercover operations
Ø Assigned, oversaw and approved internal investigations and compliance audits

Supervisory Special Agent (SSA), New York Field Office, Joint Terrorism Task Force
I chose to leave FBI Headquarters to accept a challenging leadership position in the field which would further strengthen my supervisory experience and help me advance both my skills and career. I was assigned to a squad which executives described as ineffective. Within my first year of leading the squad, it led the division in statistical accomplishments. Within two years, both productivity and case load increased so much I was able to successfully advocate forming a second squad under another supervisor and dividing the caseload. By the end of my third year in New York, the number of active investigations exceeded those of the original squad by more than 120%.

Ø Led a multi-agency task force of 20-30 investigators and analysts
Ø Closed languishing and unproductive investigations, reducing total cases by 26%
Ø Identified a rising, but under-addressed terrorist organization then created and led an organization to mitigate its threat
Ø Increased squads use of complex and sophisticated investigative techniques by 300%
Ø Facilitated the promotion of five subordinates to supervisory positions
Ø Conducted diversity, workplace violence and sexual harassment investigations
Ø Conducted compliance audits and inspections
Ø Received a commendation from Department of State for leadership of a team in Africa investigating a terrorist threat to a US Ambassador.

Unit Chief for Operations, Terrorist Screening Center (TSC), Washington, DC
I was promoted to lead a multi-agency 24 hour, 7 days a week operations center tasked with providing real-time management of all encounters with known or suspected terrorists on the Terrorist Watch List.

Ø Supervision of 72 subordinates through 5 direct-report subordinate managers
Ø Conducted complete analysis: business practices, reports/data entry/tracking
Ø Reduced personnel costs 20% by efficient assignment scheduling
Ø Established a fully integrated, back-up continuity site which mirrored the TSC
Ø Set requirements, then reviewed and approved all Information Technology (IT) improvements to watch listing infrastructure.

SSA, Program Manager, Counterterrorism Division, FBI Headquarters, Washington, DC
I was promoted to FBI Headquarters to provide program management of all international terrorism investigations in the FBIs Boston, New Haven, Albany and Buffalo field offices.

Ø Successfully presented 10+ cases to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) Court gaining authorization for electronic monitoring
Ø Briefed senior FBI executives on status of complex investigations and programs
Ø Audited investigations in assigned offices for statutory and policy compliance
Ø Conducted effective liaison with foreign partners on sensitive investigations

Special Agent, Senior Team Leader, Evidence Response Team, Washington, DC
I was asked to assume senior leadership of the crime scene investigation team based on my leadership during the FBIs response to the terrorist attack on the Pentagon on 911.

Ø Led a team of 50+ FBI investigators, major international and domestic crime scenes
Ø Managed annual operational budget in excess of $200,000
Ø Conducted counterterrorism operations in: Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Iraq & Afghanistan
Ø Instructor (forensic & crisis management), International Law Enforcement Academy, Budapest, Hungary.

Special Agent, Gang Task Force, Washington, DC
I successfully conducted complex enterprise investigations of violent street gangs.
