Sales Manager at Successor Adhesives Company
I was retained after the sale of my business to continue sales activities and to integrate and grow the adhesives and sealants businesses from the rest of the organization. Sales continue to grow at a 25+% rate in 2012.

VP, Sales & Marketing/CFO of Adhesives & Sealants Company
Joined partnership to acquire and operate small chemical businesses. In early 2006, we purchased an underperforming $4 million adhesives manufacturing site from a large multinational company. We added all of the functional departments around the manufacturing business, including, sales, marketing, technical service, finance, accounting, and an information system. We attracted new customers in the metal building, roofing, aerospace and appliance industries to diversify the companys markets.

2012 Company sold to an equity company building a larger adhesives franchise. Sales increases in 2009-2011 averaged over 20% per year. 2011 returned the company to profitability

2009 Acquired a $1.5 million adhesive and coatings business and integrated it into the existing facility.

2008 I assumed the duties of CFO, including AR, AP, accounting and financial reporting, while continuing to lead our sales & marketing efforts. Created a standard cost model for all product lines and spearheaded a 2010 initiative to grow margins. New pricing guidelines resulted in gross margins increasing from 32.7% to 39.9% in six months, while sales increased 11%.

2007 Posted first year-to-year sales gains after a decade-long history of falling sales under the previous owner.

2006 I was named VP, Sales & Marketing after the purchase of the company, coordinating the selling efforts of the other partners.

Recruited by this $200 million North American division of a $750 million European specialty chemical company to turn around sales for a $20 million subsidiary. The job grew to encompass the sales management of a newly-formed $40 million business unit. Products sold included epoxy and polyurethane adhesives, specialty elastomers, and a variety of specialty additives.

Recruited by this $70 million subsidiary of a $2 billion corporation in 1989 to manage coatings sales to the automotive industry in a sales region comprising five sales territories and $8 million in revenues. The region covered twenty-five states and Mexico. Net sales growth from 1989 to 1999 was almost 300%.

1998 Region was the fastest growing region in the company, averaging $3-4 million of new business from 1996-98.
