Currently, as Vice President of Corporate Business Development, U.S. Municipal Market, American Water Works Company, responsible for corporate business development for the largest publicly traded U.S. water and wastewater utility company, with revenues of $2.95 billion:
o Recruited as Vice President of Marketing & Communications for a $250 million subsidiary, promoted when under the ownership of $70 billion German energy giant, RWE, to Vice President of Corporate Marketing and Sales, The Americas Region;
o Pulled together over 20 disparate subsidiary brand advertising and communications programs to create a unified brand and face to the market, including web, print, advertising, fleet, direct mail, trade shows, and more.
o Led cross-corporation initiatives to win major corporate and municipal contracts, including many large-scale public-private partnership initiatives, including complex long-term funding.
Previously, multiple promotions within Campbell Soup Company -- from Senior Marketing Manager, Soups: Canned, Frozen, Dry in Away From Home Division with full P&L responsibility for $250 million soup category to Director of Marketing for National and Top Regional Chains to Director of Business Planning
o Persuaded top management to permit a change in Campbell Soup's iconic red & white logo to differentiate premium frozen soup product offering in foodservice channels, resulting in a 200-300% increase in targeted customers. Campbell's Branding Solutions success was featured in several company annual reports and in the Wall Street Journal. Grew highly customized national accounts business from $35 million to $125 million in less than two years.
o Met or exceeded all sales and profit targets.
Earlier, recruited from Unilever by Quaker Oats to become Marketing Development Manager, Baked Goods - led foodservice bagel share to leading market position within 16 months - necessitating a second production facility.
Multiple promotions at Unilever's VandenBergh Foods division becoming Product Manager, Frozen Baked Goods managing a $50 million P&L, maintaining #1 market share position in core product, launching scores of new products, one of which achieved leading market share in just 12 months.
Started career with The Grief Companies, the second largest U.S. men's tailored clothing company, becoming, at the age of 22, Manager of Major Accounts (incl. Saks, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Barneys) and turned around a troubled business within two years to record sales and profits.
