I am a proven and accomplished C-Suite Executive and the former Chief Financial Officer of a publicly traded Australian Fortune 500 company that entered the US market and expanded from 900 employees / $200M Revenue to 4,500 employees / $1.0B Revenue (while investing over $225 million) during my 8 year term.

I am an energetic, positive and agile executive with years of progressive leadership in aerospace and defense, engineering, manufacturing, support and financial services. I have effectively led planning, coordination and implementation of strategic and tactical initiatives across a number of industries. I have directed de novo startups, multi-state business expansion, restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, internal control systems, process improvement and normal operations. " Envisioned, developed and emplaced strategies for the use of derivatives to increase profits and reduce risks. Results: $XXM+ Profit through a currency exchange strategy and $XM+ Savings using commodity hedges.

" Requested and negotiated government grants to support the expansion of Austal USA. Results: $XXM Expansion Grants, $XXM+ Tax Abatements, $XXXM+Capital Investment Tax Credits, and $XXM Facilities Grant, worth ~$XXM before Tax through the grant structure and accounting treatment.

" Created cultures committed to continuous improvement and cost reduction strategies and led the implementation of the 4 Disciplines of Execution (Covey). Results: Savings of $XM, with significant recurring savings, and with culture focused on eliminating waste and reducing costs.

Austal USA (February 2008 - March 2016): A prime government contractor for the design, manufacture and support of high speed aluminum ships for the U.S. Navy. Grew from 900 to 4.500+ employees.
" Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer / Director & Secretary/Treasurer of Austal USA LLC Board of Directors / Member  Government Security Committee / Interim President (2012): As SVP & CFO, responsible for all aspects of Accounting / Finance / Budgeting, Treasury, Tax, Financial Analysis and Earned Value, as well as past responsibility for Information Technology / ERP / IT Security, Supply Chain Management, Pricing & Estimating, and Facilities. Responsible for enterprise risk management; supporting strategic planning; providing capital forecasting; coordinating issuance of debt instruments; and implementing systems required by the Government as a DoD Contractor. All the aforementioned accomplished while winning major programs, designing new classes of ships, expanding the facility and growing the workforce from 900 to 4,500 employees. Served as Interim President, during which time relationships were improved with the Secretary of the Navy, NAVSEA and the Navy hierarchy.

United Security Bancshares (April 1995  January 2008): A community bank and its finance company subsidiary providing financial services in the Southeast.
" Vice President / Chief Financial Officer / Director of Human Resources - Acceptance Loan Company (de novo): Responsible for all administrative Corporate activities of the consumer finance company; exclusive of underwriting, lending, and collections. Further responsible for 1) development of the strategic plan that led to the expansion of the company, 2) establishment of all facilities of the Company, 3) implementation of all systems, 4) implementation of SOX 404, 5) development of the initial compliance program, and 6) the development of the administrative and accounting policies and procedures in use by the Company.
" President  First Security Courier Corporation (de novo): Responsible for all aspects of the bank courier company, including the initial formation of the corporation. Operated in full compliance with the Public Service Commission, provide services to both bank and non-bank customers.
" Vice President / Chief Administrative Officer  First Bank and Trust (acquisition & merger): Responsible for all administrative aspects of the bank, from 1995 until the bank merged with United Security Bank. This includes implementing a full cafeteria benefits plan, redesigning data communications for significant cost savings, supporting merger and acquisition activities, and supervising the construction of facilities. Also provided strategic planning support to the Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors.

Teledyne Brown Engineering (April 1987  April 1995): A prime government contractor for the design, manufacture, test and support of a wide range of programs and systems for aerospace and defense.
" Director of Estimating and Pricing  Corporate Office in Huntsville, Alabama (Holding Company environment): Served at the corporate headquarters as the Director of Estimating and Pricing, and responsible for estimating / pricing / business plan analysis and related activities for numerous multi-million dollar proposals in a government contracting environment. Customers included Teledyne Power Systems, USAF, Navy, NASA, Army Missile Command, and both foreign and domestic military and non-military customers. Coordinate international sales during Operation Desert Storm. Responsible for the development of training materials, providing the training, and certification of employees on the proper methods of estimating, at the request of Corporate (compliant with FAR/DFAR and CAS).
" Plant Accountant  Manufacturing Facility in Jackson, Alabama (de novo facility product line change): Responsible for all financial, systems, contract administration and purchasing requirements at the manufacturing facility. Highlights include the implementation of a MRP package to automate planning, purchasing, accounting, and manufacturing management, compliant with FAR/DFAR/CAS. Personally responsible for developing the in-house production capability (vertical integration) that allowed for the eventual complete product line change of the facility, converting from radar scattering multi-spectral camouflage to military tents, including design of some automation equipment. Supported proposals and execution of awards for 2D / 3D military decoys. Supported the pricing and proposal submission, negotiation and award, design, assembly, integration and test of many electronic assemblies, devices, control panels, wiring harnesses and pieces of flight hardware and other electronics with the associated support services. Successfully led negotiations with customer when design changes impacted the programs.

Kaiser Aluminum (April 1984  April 1987): A manufacturer of aluminum power transmission cable with a network of warehouse and dealers supporting the Southeast.
" Manager of Accounting and Systems (restart after strike): Responsible for accounting and systems functions. Installed hardware at facilities and implemented modules of a regional MRP system.

Scott Paper Company (now Kimberly Clark) (January 1982  April 1984): A manufacturer of consumer paper towels and tissues and commercial papers.
