BRAEBURN GROUP INC. Long Term Consultants / Interim Managers President 1988-Present Engagements Ø Steel Resources LLC. In conjunction with the largest industrial conglomerate in Ukraine and some of the most prominent wire rod users in the US, created an innovative sales model resulting in the capture of over 25% of the imported rod market and $30 million in sales in the first year. Developed a seamless supply chain from overseas to the US East Coast, Gulf and throughout the Mississippi River basin. Was solely responsible for all critical functions: buying, selling and logistics. Sensing a market opportunity, engineered a unique deal selling 15,000 metric tons of steel billets from a land locked midwestern steel mill to South America. Responsible for the establishment and organization of a US sales operation representing several Russian and Ukrainian steel mills. Working with the management of the largest US steel producer, started export operations to Latin America and Africa, teaching the mills the entire export process and becoming their highest volume non-NAFTA exporter.
Ø US Private Equity Co. Advised on operational and financial viability for a $ 400 million domestic manufacturing company. Analysis and recommendations resulted in significant changes to the project.
Ø World Bank International Finance Corporation Consultant to the Southeastern Europe Enterprise Development (Macedonia) program, advising small and medium enterprises in strategic and financial management. Worked with the countrys only surviving steel mill.
Ø Midwest Investor Group In a steel mill project, by providing current, real world costs for the theoretical values in their model, was able to show dramatic changes in their ROI and payback period.
TradeARBED (Arcelor-Mittal) -New York - $ 2.5 B importer and processor of steel products Office of the Chairman Reporting to the Chairman, President and Chief Financial Officer Ø Actively oversaw the operation of a steel mill in Eastern Europe including banking, political relationships, purchasing and logistics. Designed and implemented a model simulating the entire operation including manufacturing, distribution, sales domestically and world-wide and inventory levels for purposes of forecasting cash flow and working capital requirements. Worked directly with local management on daily operations, strategic sales planning and capital acquisitions. Ø Established and managed a credit monitoring system for prepayment and letter of credit exposure in the former USSR and Eastern Europe in excess of $250 million on a rolling basis. Ø Oversaw the internal audit of the balance sheet and subsequent restructuring, including payables, receivables, inventory, claims and joint ventures
