JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: My successful specialty chemical company is a global leader in their specialty product niche. I am on retainer to fill a Plant Manager role for one of their flagship manufacturing plants. Im looking for a hands-on operations leader in the chemical industry who is a proven change agent with their current company through team-oriented leadership and technical insight. This is a complex PSM plant and most of their production processes involve reaction chemistry and primarily batch processing. This is an attractive opportunity for a number of reasons:

1) Plant is one of their key plants globally, with plans for continued growth and capital improvements.
2) This is a non-union plant with a seasoned and committed workforce.
3) In this high visibility role that will have a key impact on the overall company and this position affords excellent career growth opportunities within the company.

You will be responsible for manufacturing operations to drive continuous improvement and cost savings, the plant expense budget, safety, capital project leadership, and the Quality Management System. You will have several direct reports who are leaders in production, engineering, and maintenance.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have operations and engineering experience in the chemical manufacturing industry with the majority of experience at a PSM facility with reactive chemistries and hazardous chemicals. You currently must be in a leadership role in chemical plant operations. Must have proven results as a change agent and in developing a team-oriented approach to operational improvement. Experience in a non-union environment is preferred, and training and leadership in non-union avoidance is important. Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing certification and implementation would be a plus. 10+ years experience is required and a BS in Chemical Engineering is preferred or relevant technical degree in Chemistry or Mechanical Engineering. A Masters degree is a plus.

Salary is $140-150k and full benefits are included. Please refer to EWE when responding to this position.
