Executive Job Description
Our Client is a global health care leader with a diversified portfolio of prescription medicines, vaccines and consumer health products, as well as animal health products.

The External Manufacturing TPS leader will lead the deployment of TPS within external manufacturing and: 1) partner with leaders and become an active member of the External Manufacturing Leadership team to deploy TPS as a core foundation to realization of strategic goals and objectives 2) Work as a consultant with divisional and cross divisional teams to facilitate the definition of projects, gathering data, analyzing and developing improvements and innovations, and preparing presentations to communicate project status or chartering and execute performance improvement activities 3) Develop Lean management and people development processes 4) manage processes and support key projects to realize intended business benefit, 5) utilize various Lean and six sigma tools and techniques to analyze and improve business processes 6) communicate and enroll people in transformational strategic change and 7) provide teaching and coaching to develop leaders and effectively transfer Lean skills into the organization.
External Manufacturing TPS Lead will be responsible & have capability for the following:
" Connecting strategic goals and objectives to improvement activities through Hoshin Kanri
" Developing an TPS support infrastructure consisting of internal TPS leaders, practitioners and consultants as necessary to meet TPS deployment plans.
" Diagnostics of operating performance through Value Stream diagnostics.
" Defining and applying performance management systems linking the leadership level to External party performance.
" Apply Lean techniques and "Way of Thinking" to processes to solve moderately complex system (multiple processes) problems (building quality in, continuous flow, kanban, heijunka, pull).
" Apply scientific problem solving (PDCA), standardized work, and six sigma to solve process and system (full value stream) problems.
" Coach and develop Lean Experts in External manufacturing organization to improve production processes at External party and internal management systems.
" Coach and develop E2E managers to apply Lean management principles and develop their External parties in problem solving and standardized work.
" Develop and manage continuous improvement processes (Visual Work Place, Lean Experts Selection & Development Process, etc.)
" Apply behavior coaching techniques to influence decision making, guide continuous improvement activities, and shape the way-of-thinking to align with TPS and Inclusion core principles.
" Able to integrate change execution methodologies, for example, by assessing level of disruption or change needed (i.e. transformational) in order to both install and realize business outcomes.
" Understands how to integrate and role models inclusive behaviors and mindsets.
" Is highly self aware, frequently obtains feedback, and develops others by using behavioral coaching and consequence management skills.- Understands the linkages between using lean and six sigma tools to support the interdependencies and use of portfolio, program and project management



Qualifications

Education: Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in a related field as well as hands-on experience with application of most of the following Lean and Six Sigma tools and techniques:

Experience:
" Standardized Work, Scientific Problem Solving, value stream mapping, SMED, mistake proofing, 5S-Visual Factory, DMAIC.
" Minimum of 10 years applied experience in operations management, manufacturing, or related disciplines required.
" Consultative skills: ability to influence decision making - communicates clearly and persuasively, ability to interact with all levels of the business (senior leaders to working teams) - concise, engaging communicator with good facilitation skills;
" Able to deliver feedback that is clear, articulate and non-threatening; project management skills (demonstrated experience in managing large teams), solid business acumen, proven team building skills, exceptionally good listening skills, recognizes and manages resistance, is recognized as credible with peers and manager, approaches change in an organized way, results oriented-will take action when needed, strong analytical skills, and prior process improvement experience.
" Previous experience leading the deployment of Lean through a large site and, or entire operations organization.
