1/2001 - Present Country General Manager China and HK
Started up a subsidiary for a multinational public company (NASDAQ:XXX) in China. The company is selling capital equipment and services of electronic test equipment for the FPD (Flat Panel Display) PCB (Printed Circuit Board) and ASM (Assembly SMT) industries. Achieved 2001-2003 sales and customer service revenue business targets, achieving breakthrough in market share (from 35% to 60%) and customer satisfaction. Building the legal and operational structure serving 300 customers all over greater China. Set-up 4 legal entities, getting the licenses to operate provide service and sell in the region. Recruited the sales force (11 account managers, 2 sales managers) and ramping sales in the region (USD$24.8 Million in FY2000, USD$39.4 Million in FY2001, USD$36.8 Million in FY2002). Becoming the most important and the only growth region in the company, through the recession period of 2001-2003 (from 6% of total company revenue in FY2000 to 17% in FY2002 in total sales and from 7.4% of worldwide equipment sales in FY2000 to 19.3% in FY2002). Planned and executed the sales strategy of direct and indirect sales through the deployment of agents and distributors. Built the service organization (to a total of 130 employees) setting up 6 offices through the region giving sales and service support. Recruited the support staff - Finance, HR, Sales Order Administration, MIS, training. Recruited and promoted local-Chinese employees. Guided the organization to their integration in lower, middle and top management positions - thus eliminating the need of using expats in the organization. Building the logistic support organization to arrange for machine delivery, spare parts, etc. Built 2 training and demo centers providing the customers with an annual training plan for their engineers, their supervisors and managers. Initiated and participated in trade shows.
USR Electronics Ltd (Privately held) www.usr.co.il 10/1998 - 1/2001 General Manager
Recruited to this company by the owners as the first external General Manager. Managed this privately held electronic contract manufacturer (EMS) through a structural and business change. Shifted the company's income base from 100% local to the multinational markets, added customers like GE Medical Systems, Philips Lighting BV, etc. Changed the technological platforms, recruiting managers and staff to build the following functions: Engineering, Process Engineering, Purchasing, Sourcing, Project Management, Account Management, and Marketing. Recruited and trained the senior management team - CFO, COO, HR manager, and MIS manager. Achieved ISO9001/2 certifications, and implemented ERP (BaaN). Achieved 250% growth in revenue with 22% net profit. Negotiated merger and take over with major companies: SCI, Sanmina, DII Managed the company’s growth (from 300 to 700 employees), planning and implementing facilities expansion while performing a USD$12 Million capital expenditure plan.

Promoted to General Manager following the exit of the previous General Manager and managed the company through a buy-out by a publicly traded (NASDAQ:ATTU) IT company. Moved business from local to multinational operations. Driven technological changes in the product platforms.
