President and CEO 2000 – 2003
Led growth from $12 million to $25 million for this venture-backed professional services and software firm with 175 employees in 17 locations in the US. Took a turnaround situation to record profits projected for 2003.

President 1998 – 1999
Formed and became President of a new business unit made up of seven acquired companies, achieved 1998 revenue of $101 million with 1000 employees, and was on track for $168 million in 1999 revenue when the business was successfully IPO’d in December 1999.

Chief Operating Officer 1996 – 1997
One of five executives who executed a roll up of IT solutions companies for a $1 billion NYSE information technology solutions company, acquiring 20+ companies and $350 million in revenue.

Office Managing Director 1993 - 1996
Built a significant growth office for a $65 million, fast-growing information systems consulting firm. Built their second office, from 10 to 100 people in two years, as they expanded across the US. Business was sold in 1996.

Re-ignited Marketing and Sales Engine and Turned Around Existing Business:

Ø As CEO, directed the overhaul of marketing approach and rebuilt the sales team, changing this company from a “sell and do” organization to one with a professional sales force, and facilitated the development of multiple channels for lead generation to feed the sales team.

Ø Taking charge in mid 2000, though limited to organic growth due to lack of working capital, propelled this company from a disastrous financial loss to profitability the past two years with projected record profits for 2003, and rebuilt confidence in upper management.

Ø Achieved the following improvements in financial performance:
· Reduced direct costs from 82% of revenue to 59%
· Increased gross margin from 18% to 41%
· Reduced G&A costs from 19% of revenue to 14%
· Increased EBITDA from a negative 9% of revenue to positive 14%

Ø Overhauled the IT group to better leverage information technology:
· Provided our software in an ASP environment.
· Provided Internet based reporting to our outsourced clients.
· Provided a stable, virtual computing environment for employees across the U. S.

Ø Introduced likely acquisition candidates that would allow for growth through acquisitions; however, investors chose not to be diluted.

Built Businesses Through Acquisition:

Ø As COO, worked hand-in-hand with Chairman, President, and M&A Team to acquire more than 20 companies with a total of $350 million in revenue.

Ø Instrumental in separating these acquired companies into five business units, and took the President’s role of the business unit focused on e-commerce, a 1,000-person national IT consulting and systems integration company, made up of seven acquired companies, with a business model for helping companies effectively use the Internet.

Ø Business was successfully “spun out” in an IPO as a separate public company in 1999.

Built Businesses Organically:

Ø Built a successful IT Consulting Practice for “Big 6” (now Big 4) firm growing an office from eight people to 100 people in four years.

Ø Promoted to Partner in Charge of a regional IT consulting organization.

Ø Promoted to a National Director position in IT consulting.

Ø Recruited away from "Partnership" to build a consulting group for a small IT consulting company. Took this office from 10 people to 100 people in two years, before the company was sold in 1996.
