Vice President Finance, Chief Financial Officer, 1994 to 2002
Reported to the President and CEO. Responsibilities included all financial and information system activities.
• Led team that took company private when public ownership became no longer attractive. Negotiated $27 million line of credit to fund repurchase of shares.
• Directed company-wide team that selected ERP software and hardware system and implemented on schedule with zero downtime and no decline in customer service levels. Achieved projected payback quicker than originally planned.
• Led multi-disciplinary technical team in developing the most complicated new instrument in the company’s product line. Delivered the product on-time and on budget with the best product launch results in company history. Formally recognized at International Sales Meeting.
• Served as U. S. management representative on the Board of Directors of an International joint venture that is the company’s largest and most profitable international customer.
• Implemented aggressive tax reduction initiatives that generated annual savings of $400,000 to $500,000.
• Negotiated reclassification from U. S. Department of Commerce granting export authority without individual licenses per shipment.
