Chief Financial Officer and Head of Finance and Administration Responsible for Finance/Accounting, Treasury, Tax, Legal and HR activities for media production services company involved in television and film productions. Primary oversight responsibility for $30M revenue television project in NYC requiring coordination, management, housing and transportation for more than 200 foreign and domestic employees. Managed contract negotiations related to network (PSA), studio, set construction, props, and satellite and DSL broadcasting service requirements. Led negotiations and successfully closed the sale of a blockbuster television project to a foreign network. The sale resulted in a substantially larger profit than originally anticipated, and the assignment and release of $3M+ in Worldwind obligations. Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance and Administration 2002 to Present Primary oversight responsibility for Finance/Accounting, HR, IT and Facilities management, for up to 400 employees, while serving as a member of the Board of Directors and Trustee of the Company's 401K plan. Manage relationships with institutional debt and equity investors ($650M), law firms, audit and tax providers, financial advisors, banking principals, equipment lenders and real property lessors Evaluate various financing/investing, capital structure, risk management and capital raising transactions including numerous M&A, licensing, partnership and joint venture proposals, involving the negotiation of equity interests/splits, royalty rates, continuing obligations and other deal terms. Developed and implemented strategic shift from manufacturing to licensing/sale business model and associated burn rate reduction in excess of $50M per year. Led negotiations and closed the sale of substantially all of Candescent's assets to Canon Inc. Generated alternative bids from Hitachi and Samsung and managed the sale and auction process through a Chapter 11 Bankruptcy proceeding in the U.S. and a Scheme of Arrangement in Bermuda. Process will result in the restructuring of $350M in convertible debentures. Negotiated settlements with lessors and other creditors resulting in savings in excess of $30M. Led the in-house environmental closure of a 40,000 square foot clean room space and early termination of 385,000 sq. ft of office and fab. space. Negotiated $25 million in settlements with various secured lenders including Comdisco, Transamerica, Finova and GATX resulting in a 29% discount to the outstanding principal balance.
