-Coordinate with over 20 strategic industry customers, three regional sales forces and the global support services team to understand the business issues, develop the product roadmap and validate solutions.
-Manage the development process with domestic and international Scrum teams. Focused requirements to provide the greatest business value in the alpha release over a four month development cycle. Continue to organize features and plan releases by regularly re-evaluating attributes such as value, cost, risk, fit to strategy and release theme.
-Spearhead the effort to implement Scrum methodologies across 10 teams of 140 developers, QA engineers and product managers. Created the product backlog template and reporting tools to generate burn-down charts, as well as organizational wiki sites for coordinating the teams’ day-to-day work. PRINCIPAL, PRODUCT MANAGEMENT, COLLABORATION TECHNOLOGIES Recruited by the Director of Product Management to create and present the market requirements for a modern platform supporting enterprise collaboration to a 15-person exploratory group consisting of product executives and their technical managers and leads. Consequently, we developed and designed a service-oriented application that provided solutions for email, calendar, web conferencing, instant messaging, content management and team collaboration. After launch, we established a customer and partner base of over 50 dedicated clients, and generated approximately $40 million in revenue in two years.
Inbound Product Management -Developed market and product requirements, functional specifications and use case documentation for server components and web/mobile clients, including team collaboration (enterprise wiki, discussion forums, task management, event scheduling), content management, records management, security, workflow, anti-virus and directory integration. Directed multiple domestic and international teams specializing in client and server development, user experience engineering and quality assurance to deliver over 75 projects through three major product release cycles of the product.
-Worked with my teams to establish an agile and social development process, by which requirements, wireframes, visuals, working code and QA test plans were reviewed and iterated upon throughout the project lifecycle. We used time boxing techniques and ran concurrent projects to meet our deadlines.
-After the success of my inbound product management, I was asked to turn around projects that were considered troubled. Examples include: Email Server: Within nine months, I reduced 30 enhancement requests to four significant projects. Search Server: Fast-tracked a plan to re-architect the system-wide index and query service to provide more accurate search results and real time indexing for high volume systems.
