Project Manager, Business Systems Consultant, Risk Management Consultant, Business Continuity, Regulatory Compliance and Internal Consulting for the Fortune 50 Financial Firms in New York, NY and Washington, DC. Specialization in Mortgage Processing and Securitization, Derivatives, Quality Assurance, Compliance. Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsible for managing multi-million dollar international projects and client relationships through all phases –proposal through successful delivery.

Major Trust Company($65 under management; $150b in custody)
New York, NY:
Recruited to salvage the development of a new, multi-million dollar asset management system that was experiencing significant delays and budget over-runs.
- Leading a team of client professionals, we successfully implemented Phase I on-time and in-budget. In the process, I rebuilt the relationship between the business unit and the IT department and was asked to remain to lead Phase II of the project.
- Asked to stay on, I managed other projects including the development of a digital records retention system as well as managed the backlog of major systems upgrades and modifications for their in-house business systems.

Development of the proprietary Harcourt Risk Inventory Management System(HRIMS) a relational database system. HRIMS is a critical tool to streamline our risk management consulting business totaling well over $10m in engagements since its inception. Became a profit-generating tool our clients requested to purchase.
 Risk Management Consulting for a premier US Investment Bank ($700b+ under management) included 2 reviews: our initial one with a follow-up 10 years later. Leading a blended team of both client staff and consultants, I managed the project extending over several years and including international offices (Europe and Asia) and operations across all business lines: Fixed Income, F/X, Commodities, Asset Management, Private Client Services, Mortgage Securities, Brokerage Services, Equities, Derivatives, Correspondent Clearing and associated operational units.
 Risk Management Analyses and Reviews for two major US Custodians. To develop a comprehensive risk management strategy, I managed each project assessing and analyzing the client’s operating risk (i.e., crime, liability [professional, regulatory), business interruption]. Working with insurance brokers, we negotiated favorable insurance coverage saving each company millions in premiums and in streamlined operations, better controls and less overall risk retention.
 Risk Management Analysis and Review for a premier International Investment Bank and Asset Manager. Managing an in-house team, we developed a comprehensive risk management strategy that included insurance, risk retention, control and risk transfer techniques, resulting in cost savings totaling millions. Additional cost savings were realized in avoidance of potential losses related to identified risks. Brought back to update the project 10 years later.
 Risk Management Consulting for a major international Private Bank. When implemented, our risk strategy produced millions of dollars in premium cost savings alone.
 Contingency Planning Consulting for a major NYC Trust Company, a major International Foundation and US Investment Banks. Managing both in-house personnel as well as consulting staff, I led teams to develop corporate-wide disaster recovery contingency plans. One plan was activated following the 1993 bombing at the World Trade Center; others after September 11, 2001.

1981-1987 Federal National Mortgage Association

Programmer to Director of Mortgage Information

Steadily promoted from programmer to project manager and beyond during a housing recession with exotic mortgage instruments causing mounting foreclosures.

 Responsible for mortgage processing systems including: Commitments Processing, Loan Purchasing, Loan Servicing and Mortgage Backed Securities. Managing individual teams devoted to each system, I was responsible for the budget and day-to-day maintenance of each system.

 When the company embarked on a re-development of its major automated systems, I was hand-picked to manage 30 programmers and analysts in the on-going maintenance of the current systems. My team of super-stars kept the company operating during years of cost over-runs and delays on the replacement system.

 Lead Fannie Mae manager on project to reorganize our operations throughout the company.

 I was invited to join Mortgage Operations in the newly created position of Director of Mortgage Information where I managed 10 business analysts:
 Acting as internal consultants, my teams worked with mortgage operations units to streamline their processing, implementing automated processes as needed, modifying existing systems and procedures.
 Design and development of the Mortgage Portfolio Quality Analytics – designed to monitor the performance of loans held in portfolio.
 Development of the Seller/Servicer Report Card system. Provided internal consulting services to the Real Estate Owned (REO) Division in the development of a system to track and manage foreclosed properties through disposition.

My Division provided critical information to Fannie Mae’s Executive Management. As a feed-back loop, our reporting and analysis resulted in significant changes to company policy and procedures. Division was absorbed by Information Technology upon my departure to pursue other opportunities.
