* Led the effort to evaluate the feature, function and cost/benefit trade-offs of various vendor credit card systems against in-house system and presented the findings/recommendation to executive management. Ensured a successful conversion of 60 million accounts from a vendor platform to the in-house platform through solid data architecture and design consultation to all departments.
* Improved the effectiveness and efficiency of a major bank’s database administration department by leading the development of standards, procedures, and processes for designing and implementing DB2 mainframe and Unix UDB databases. Also, reduced the overall organizational cost by mentoring several lower-paid junior DBAs and programmers to becoming Senior DBAs.
