Recent Accomplishments
* Increased revenue and decreased expenses at major bank by directing the design and implementation of CRM database/application. Further increased revenues by designing solicitation history database and solicitation engine to provide lift in cross-sales via solicitations at any customer contact point.
* Significantly reduced DBMS labor and license expenses at major bank by designing and implementing automated software and repetitive processes that migrate database structures and data from Informix to DB2. Initial implementation migrated 2000+ tables from 3 Informix databases.
* Led the effort to evaluate the feature, function and cost/benefit trade-offs of various vendor credit card systems against in-house system and presented the findings/recommendation to executive management. Ensured a successful conversion of 60 million accounts from a vendor platform to the in-house platform through solid data architecture and design consultation to all departments.
* Improved the effectiveness and efficiency of a major bank’s database administration department by leading the development of standards, procedures, and processes for designing and implementing DB2 mainframe and Unix UDB databases.
