Primary functions include forecasting, operating and capital budget management, financial analysis, management and financial reporting, deal review, and quarterly closing functions. Act as the liaison between the Finance and Sales organizations. Pursue sales and marketing alliances. Report to the Chief Operating Officer.
- Instituted financial management practices to enhance management reporting, reduce reconciliation time at the closing of a period, and control costs. For the 12-month period ending November 2001, sales-related operating expenses declined 20% and capital expenditures decreased $16 million (as compared to the prior period).
- Worked on a cross-functional team to develop a proposal for the reduction of infrastructure costs through the consolidation of 27 North American technology recovery facilities.
- Appointed to the Executive Product Approval Committee which approves major investments and product initiatives.
- Executed a strategic alliance with an information technology company to market its proprietary recovery services in connection with the sale of in-house continuity products. The alliance will generate $12 million in annual sales.
