Responsible for purchased indirect expenses throughout the U.S. totaling $300 million; included 30 factories and 100 locations. Supervised staff of 11.
• Cut costs $17 million in three years; e.g. travel ($3 million), purchased labor ($2 million), telecom ($2 million), and transport logistics ($2 million). Implemented e-auctions (example savings 23%).
• Expanded use of e-commerce tool throughout the U.S. from spends of $32 thousand in 2001 to $31 million in 2004.
• Increased internal clients satisfied with department performance from 50% to 94% in 2004 (88% improvement). Installed focused supplier metrics on key suppliers and benchmarked service levels.
