Reported to the President with responsibilities for the sales, marketing, and distribution operations of the service parts and aftermarket business. Improved monthly average fill rate from 62% to 90+%. Decreased past due orders from 23% of open order amount to 5%. Lead Business Development Council using resources within the parent organization to develop a marketing plan to grow Parts revenues.
1984 - 2004 CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Reported to the President/Owner with responsibility for Global Finance & Accounting, Global Treasury Management, Risk Management, Information Systems. Member of Executive Management Team, including strategic planning team and compensation team. With the Chief Operating Officer, successfully negotiated the acquisition of a major competitor with plants in Illinois and Wales. Negotiated financing of the acquisition through senior debt. Redesigned the accounting and financial reporting systems to support an organizational shift from functional departments to integrated business units. Lead in the establishment of the Company’s European manufacturing facility in England, including site evaluation, negotiation with British authorities, personnel interviews, initiation of banking and accounting relationships and selection and installation of data processing systems. Assisted in the establishment of the Company’s manufacturing facility in China, including investigation of sites and establishment of banking and accounting relationships. Participated in various teams formed to set up quality systems in conjunction with the Total Quality Management initiative, and with later involvement ISO 9001 and QS 9000.

Two-year work exchange from a national public accounting firm (see below). Responsible for in-the-field supervision and review of systems audits and of annual financial statements audits, as well as special tax and insolvency assignments. Assignments included clients in the construction, timber, pharmaceutical, baking and other industries in both public and privately-owned companies.
1975 - 1981 NATIONAL PUBLIC ACCOUNTING FIRM, Rockford, Illinois
Employed from September 1975 to September 1981, until going to work for U.K. affiliate (see above). At time of transfer, was General Services Manager responsible for providing clients with the product and service that the firm arranged to furnish while guiding and training the professional staff. Prior to promotion to manager, was the senior in charge of audit field work on several of the largest audit clients in the firm's Rockford office. Assignments included manufacturers, motels, municipalities, wholesalers, banks and other types of clients. In addition, spent six months on the tax staff, gaining extensive knowledge of corporate and individual taxation.
