Chief Information Officer
Recruited to provide IT leadership in establishing the district as a “world-class school district.” Applied business acumen, progressive thinking, and in-depth IT management abilities to evolve and achieve acceptance of IT, and all of its efficiencies and capabilities, in the classroom and throughout the school district.
Currently direct information technology, hardware/software, infrastructure, instructional technology, video conferencing, application development, telecommunications, and data management for all academic and administrative services system-wide. Active member of the Superintendent's Executive Cabinet.
Cost Efficiencies
* Reduced overall technology costs by $2.5M annually (from $13M to $10.5M) through restructure and by minimizing application portfolio, reorganizing roles, and creating policies and procedures that support efficient service to internal/external customers.
* Decreased district energy costs by $500K per year by incorporating energy efficient “green” technologies.
User Accessibility
* Enhanced usability more than 100% by designing and building a district wide assessment system (formative and summative), as well as Curriculum Based Assessments (CBA). Developed a student and school progress reporting program that allows for quick intervention.
* Implemented Geographical Information System (GIS) using ArcGIS suite of geospatial processing programs.
* Designed and implemented an online portal for parents, students and teachers to interact and share achievements and data related to students.
* Defined a cost-efficient warm site approach to disaster recovery for all districts critical path applications.

Re-launched IT vision to support customer needs. Managed IT operations including QA, maintenance, security, business continuity, and the evolution of hardware/software.
Led integration following major acquisition, merged disparate systems ultimately supporting 5,000 users (client and internal) in a multi-platform environment. Managed $15M budget and a staff of 100+ professionals in six locations. Reported to President.

Directed staffing, budgeting, development, design, and integration of software and hardware systems for 150 profit and administrative centers (2,000+ users). Managed 6 technical professionals.
