At my current company, I have built a reputation for turning around failing projects, delivering difficult projects on time and budget, and of successfully partnering with the CIO’s, CFOs, and EVPs of Biotechnology companies to help design, and implement key global transformations programs.
Program leader for a multi-year initiative focusing on regulatory compliance and clinical submissions for a diversified global biotechnology organization based in California. As the industry expert, worked directly with the CIO/CXO and executive teams to set the overall strategy, solution development and eventual implementation of enterprise document management and clinical submissions management capabilities. Successfully developed a $10m+ sales stream and have delivered on almost $6m with very high client satisfaction ratings.
Program Director for a leading edge operations and quality initiative for a biotechnology industry leader located in California. Assumed role in the midst of significant delivery and client satisfaction issues. Worked directly with client and practice leadership to address issues and to bring the project back on track. Delivered multiple solutions focused on enterprise application integration of manufacturing, document management and laboratory information systems. Managed the development and deployment of an industry leading ‘lot release on review by exception basis’ capability.
Developed and led the operational strategy for implementing the ERP business systems competency center for global life sciences Fortune 100 Company. Worked with the global ERP solution leadership to establish their roadmap and long term plans.
Project Manager for business systems implementation project for a medical device start-up within a global life sciences and consumer products company. Worked directly with executive management team to define a unique ‘make to order’ business model & managed a 2 year ($4.5 million) project with responsibility for approximately 15 client and 7 consulting FTE’s. Focus of the project was an accelerated implementation of new operating model by integrating ERP, Business-to-Consumer processes, extended supply chain, logistics and manufacturing systems.
Managed technical development and systems management teams within large ERP implementations.
Led the certification of a global delivery methodology for implementing business systems and large scale reengineering programs. This was the 1st ever certification for a global consulting organization by SAP.
Oct. 1996 to Oct. 1997: Senior Consultant, KPMG Consulting, Canada.
One of the 1st resources to start the ERP Quality Assurance and Risk Management practice in Canada. Worked directly with the practice leadership to create a $1m+ practice in the initial year of operation.
Developed the methodology and approach for risk management activities. Led training courses on risk management, security and controls for enterprise business systems implementations.
Management of project quality assurance, risk reviews & developing business process controls during an ERP (SAP) implementation of a major multinational. Carried out systems assurance and post implementation benchmarking for ERP business systems implementations.
