Executive Job Description | Our client is a well-known asset management firm that serves institutional investors. They are seeking a Manager of Wholesale Channel Marketing for Value Added Marketing programs. Value added marketing programs are designed to help financial advisors and planners deepen their relationships with existing clients and earn new clients. The programs may consist of ad hoc presentations, sales tools and more comprehensive integrated selling systems.
Duties and Responsibilities: Lead and contribute to wholesale marketing strategy and stay closely in touch with the needs of broker/dealer distribution partners Manage the planning, development, execution, training, promotion and measurement of new value-added programs consisting of print and online presentations, sales ideas, white papers, and events and seminars Work closely with key account managers to identify conference sponsorship opportunities and speakers and contractors Manage a comprehensive portfolio of marketing literature and presentations available in print and/or on the web Ensure all literature is up to date and relevant to market conditions Partner with e-commerce to enhance content and features available to financial advisors Attend trades shows, client meetings, and conferences with sales executives to find new ideas for marketing strategies Manage relationships with direct and indirect contractors in support of strategic and tactical marketing programs
Background Requirements: 5 -10 years of experience within the financial services industry preferably within marketing communications and sales Experience in a third party distribution business model is a plus Strong understanding of technical investment concepts with experience collaborating with fixed income and equity management teams Ability to draft persuasive written communications including sales ideas, white papers, best-practice presentations, and online content Excellent project management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects while adhering to strict deadlines and producing quality work Prior experience leading cross-functional teams in successful new efforts Proven capacity to manage, mentor and motivate indirect reports toward outlined results Ability to transform complex, dry, technical and financial concepts into lively and compelling content for audiences with varying degrees of understanding in the subject matter BA/BS required MBA a plus CFP or comparable advanced accreditation is a plus FINRA Series 6 or 7
