Executive Job Description | Vice President Sales & Marketing Manufacturing - Upstate NY
Our client is a well-established leader in their segment within the manufacturing industry and we have been engaged to assist them in finding a well rounded Vice President to lead the sales and business development function within the organization.

This leadership position will be responsible for driving the sales and business development initiatives through marketing, sales and product/service development strategies, personal efforts and effective management of the sales and sales support team. A privately held technical/engineering oriented manufacturing company, the successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to interact effectively at all levels within the organization and participate and lead with some technical ability and understanding.
Qualifications We are seeking candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree (Masters preferred) in Business or Engineering (ChE /ME) and 8-10 years of progressive sales and sales leadership experience. A background within a manufactured product or service will be essential. Leadership will also play a key role in the decision making process. Your ability to drive business development and sales is critical but also how you accomplish your goals is as important. This is where the well-rounded part comes in – We are looking for a strong sales/business development professional who is also a strong leader and individual who develops positive relationships with clients, prospects employees and peers.
Opportunity As a key member of the leadership team, you will be part of developing strategies, objectives and goals for sales as well as being a participating member in running the company. Travel will be essentially domestic of about 25%. You’ll enjoy a competitive base salary and bonus plan that can push the cash compensation into the $125k+ range and is supported by a comprehensive benefits program.
