Executive Job Description | The company is a $1bil+, privately held, diversified company in the water and land distribution and wholesale business. They are the leader in their industry and continue to grow in both revenues and profits.
POSITION DESCRIPTION Reporting to and working with the Chief Information Officer, the Vice President of Information Services will ultimately be responsible for managing the three components of the IS organization: Technology, Applications and Field Services and drive the IS strategy and long term vision to ensure the mission statement above is achieved. He/she will work with the CIO to implement the overall direction and vision of the information services department and ensure that it is consistent with the needs of the corporation and members of the executive team.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS The Vice President Information Services will have 15-20 years progressive IT experience as well as 7-10 years of either corporate, department or divisional leadership in the top IT executive role. He/she will have previous experience in a complex, open platform, 24/7 transactional environment where they have led efforts to integrate cutting edge technology and applications. It will be critical that this individual possess a strong business acumen and ability to quickly discern value propositions for new and fundamental change in business processes. Experience in a distribution/logistics environment will be very helpful to the final candidate. |
