Executive Job Description | THE COMPANY:
Our client is headquartered in Phoenix AZ and is looking for a seasoned executive to be their Vice President of Major Accounts who will be responsible for identifying and establishing strategic key relationships within Google. The company is well capitalized and intends to spend over $50 million annually on Google Adwords from 2010 to 2011, with possible growth to over $250 million annually in spend by 2013. Google historically deals with all accounts via low level customer support agents, regardless of spend level. We are seeking someone who is either a current or former high level executive with Google, or someone who has previously formed partnerships/relationships at the highest levels of Google who can forge a more formal advertising partnership/relationship between our Company and Google.
SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILES:
This individual will be expected to provide leadership and vision to the organization within the companys approach to alternative strategic partnering. Established relationships should already exist with product and alliance decision makers with companies such as: Google, Yahoo, and MSN. This individual will report and work closely with the CEO of the company as well as senior management on key strategic business issues that will directly impact the working relationship with Google. Key responsibilities include:
Establish and leverage existing relationships within Google so as to move the company into a favorable position with Google. Structure agreements with these strategic partners that provide mutual growth opportunities. Work with the CEO and senior management team to develop organizational strategies designed to leverage new as well existing relationships with Google that will impact the companys ability to interact at a highly efficient level. Develop, prioritize and implement tactical plans based on needs and expectations of new strategic alliances. Work with the senior management team to align priorities and achieve effective bottom line results. Be a mentor that provides support, challenges and professional growth for the senior team. Inspire the organization toward excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Desirable professional qualifications include, but are not limited to the following:
Substantial contacts at a high level within Google. High level contacts and established solid relationships with key individuals at Yahoo and MSN/Bing is also very desirable. The ability to leverage existing relationships as well as identify and develop new ones with Google. A minimum of ten to fifteen years of business experience developing strategic alliances within the software industry. Should have a significant personal network of senior executives within the IT industry. A record of success in team management, project management, strategic planning and the financial aspects associated with a high growth, technical organization. Demonstrated capability to achieve bottom line results in line with the business plan. Success in attaining effective team work, while maintaining functional excellence. An appropriate undergraduate degree is mandatory and it is highly desirable that this individual will also have an MBA, or another advanced degree.
Desirable personal characteristics would include, but are not limited to the following: Effective leader with strong general management skills. Entrepreneurial spirit. Strong people skills. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in order to work effectively with all levels of company personnel and customers. Confident, with a high sense of urgency, responsibility, quality and ethics. Ability to translate strategy into a tactical business plan. Intellectually competitive, good quantitative and analytical abilities, a broad business perspective with solid planning and organization skills. Self-starter with a consistently high level of energy and a results-oriented style. Professional image and demeanor.
EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree preferably in sales/marketing MBA
COMPENSATION:
Compensation will consist of base salary, performance bonus and appropriate stock incentives. The level of compensation will be commensurate with experience.
