Executive Job Description	A Bauer Financial 5-Star Rated bank whose strategic drivers are Profitability, Growth and Quality, seeks a senior level VP, Commercial Lending Officer for its Michigan location. Key Duties, Activities and Responsibilities: - Maintain the needs of current and prospective customers seeking loans that may involve the lending of both secured and unsecured funds - Interview applicants to assimilate financial information concerning their business - Analyze applicant’s capacity to repay and determine whether a loan may be an acceptable risk within loan policy guidelines - Obtain and direct the analysis of all necessary financial data. - Conduct credit check, conduct or initiate EPA assessments and make site visit as necessary - Make decisions on loans and terms within establish lending limits, or make recommendations to senior management and/or loan committee if outside of lending authority. - Monitor existing loans to ensure compliance with terms and recognition of any developing trends and directs the drafting of all necessary loan documents and agreements. - Call on potential or existing customers to determine need for other bank services such as: lending products, retail banking products, financial services or insurance needs - Maintain the confidentiality of all customer and bank relationships - Promote and support the Community Development Efforts of the bank. - Will initiate and service a variety of loans (commercial, consumer & residential) with emphasis on commercial. - Commercial loan underwriting, analysis and presentation - Responsible for a portfolio of large businesses and/or complex loans/accounts - Assist with and perform Commercial loan annual reviews -Serve on Internal Loan Committee - Assist with quarterly residential and consumer quality control reviews - Develop and build new banking relationships ' - Nurture and develop existing banking relationships - Assists in maintaining lending quality and compliance - Assists other lending staff as needed. Work Experience, Skills and Education Required: - Local lender with a book of business. - Residential and consumer loan underwriting and analysis - Must be able and willing to underwrite own deals including credit viability. - Must underwrite loans personally. - Must be a lender who understands cash flow lending. - Must be an active lender with a strong work ethic. - Must be a "producer" and not just a "manager". - Must be a team player - Must be a community bank lender - not national bank lender able to do their own underwriting. - Must have been through a formal lending/training program.
