POSITION:
Tax Manager – ACCT#364

LOCATION:
Austin, TX
No Relocations Expense Provided

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be US Citizen or Authorized to Work in the United States
Green Card / Work Visa
The Ideal Candidate 10+ to 15 years of experience

A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required. A post graduate degree in tax and CPA certification is highly preferred.

Qualifications

This position requires eight to fourteen years of significant tax and accounting experience. The individual must demonstrate a strong understanding of domestic tax principles and tax accounting principles. He or she should have excellent computer skills and be proficient in spreadsheet, word and tax preparation applications such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and CorpTax. Previous experience in SAP enterprise application preferred. Strong analytical, interpersonal and resource management skills are required. .

A mix of experience with public accounting firms and industry (semi or hi tech preferred plus global exp)
CPA preferred
FAS 109 or ASC 740 experience a must
Tax software experience (for example taxstream and onesource)

CAREER OPPORTUNITY:
The Company Finance organization is looking to enhance its Professional Finance and Accounting organization within the Corporate Tax Department.

Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations
The person in this role will be responsible for the following functions:
Preparation and review of the quarterly and annual consolidated income tax provision (ASC 740)
Review tax account reconciliations, analysis, and quarter/year-end tax entries
Review of tax accounting processes and identification of process improvements, enhancements, and possible systems implementation (e.g. TaxStream, CorpTax, etc.)
Research, assess, and resolve tax issues and propose technical tax solutions to management
Assess, document and record tax reserves based on FIN 48 requirements and update/monitor as needed on a go-forward basis
Assist with Federal and State compliance
Monitor and analyze proposed and newly enacted legislation to the impact to the company's tax position
Assist with all federal and state income tax audits
Support other special projects as necessary including the R&D Credit review
Reviews tax workpapers to identify and apprise management of audit issues and risks
Oversee aspects of sales/use tax and property tax matters including filing returns and managing related audits
Coordinates Tax Department SOX internal controls processes, including updating processes and checklists.
Coordinates record retention to support governmental audits, including maintenance of required SAP files in accordance with record retention agreement with the IRS.
