Executive Job Description | Responsible for leading group of engineers in the design, development and maintenance of embedded software applications for military Reconnaissance, Surveillance, and Target Acquisition systems in a CMMI Level III environment. Ability to lead a technical group independently. Duties and Responsibilities •Responsible for leading group of engineers on a technical activity and completion of activity on time and budget •Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems or subsystems •Review customer specifications and requirements, and under direction develops designs to best support them, including cost as a key design variable •Provide budget, cost and schedule input for design assignments •Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems and services •Drive the program design to cost and design for manufacture requirements •Develop prototypes to retire key development risks •Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required •Participates in preparation of proposals •Provide technical knowledge and assistance to other engineers and support personnel •Lead and direct the work of others as assigned •Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization •Self Motivated and Team Player •Design and Maintenance of embedded software including hardware interface design and debug on target hardware. •Attend appropriate engineering, customer or business meetings •Lead less experienced engineers •Other duties as assigned Requirements:
•5+ years (Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience) •Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related technical field with a minimum of 5 years of experience •Fluency in technologies and application domain •Experience with C/C++ and object-oriented technologies (required) •Experience with Ada83/95 (desired) •Knowledge of FLIR imaging systems is strongly desired. •Experience with Windows Based application programming is desired. Specialties may include: Involved with the design, development, analysis, testing and debugging of computer software applications and/or systems. May include Image and Signal Processing, Real-time, Firmware, Nuclear/Hi-Rel, FAA Certified, Operator/Machine Interface, or others. Determines hardware compatibility. Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. Interacts with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications. Clearance: US Citizen (Must be clearable)
