Executive Job Description
Position is based in Boston.

Key responsibilities
Develop market requirements document and go-to-market plan for winning in the Collaboration space
Create and own overall solution positioning by integrating products and partner offerings into cohesive, differentiated messaging framework
Provide strategic guidance to product management as they design our next-generation Collaboration products
Team with product marketing to launch new Collaboration products in market
Work with field marketing, campaign planning, and partner marketing to create and execute joint marketing campaigns
Build customer-facing and partner-facing collateral including presentations, product flyers, data sheets, sales tools, and web content
Act as spokesperson and present to company executives, customers, sales, partners, press, and analysts
Partner with enablement to deliver training to direct and partner sales teams
Participate in annual strategic planning and budgeting process


Our company is seeking a dynamic Solution Manager to build and execute a winning go-to-market strategy for our Collaboration solutions, including on-premise and cloud-based email, teaming, conferencing, and enterprise social networking applications. This person will be responsible for developing and marketing solutions that integrate products, services, and partner offerings to win in this market. Above all, we're looking for someone who is smart, has no fear of challenges, and has the leadership to drive this business forward. You will work with a cross-functional, highly motivated team including representatives from product management, product marketing, engineering, alliances and sales.

The Solution Manager will analyze competitive and customer trends to develop deep market insights to help drive product strategy. You will also be responsible for developing the marketing message and content required to bring our Collaboration solutions to market. This content will be used to communicate our value proposition to customers and enable our direct and partner channels. Content will include market requirements documents, go-to-market plans, customer and partner value propositions, positioning documents, customer- and partner-facing collateral, website content, campaign plans, and competitive analyses. In addition, you will be a spokesperson to press and analysts, helping to shape external perception of our Collaboration solutions in the market.

The successful candidate will have direct experience in high technology marketing, preferably in the collaboration space. This role reports directly to the Director of Solution & Product Marketing for End-User Computing. Preference will be given to candidates located in the Greater Boston area. This role requires 35% travel, including international.

Key skills required include excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, analytic skills, the ability to drive consensus across the organization, and the ability to make decisions based on input from multiple sources in an objective way. The candidate must be comfortable leading cross-functional teams.

Candidate Requirements
Bachelor's Degree required. MBA from top school .
Minimum of five years experience in product marketing or solutions marketing
Previous experience working with the enterprise software required. Experience with enterprise software, collaboration software, and cloud computing .
Thorough understanding and experience working with channel partners or Tier 1 ISV/IHV partners
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, including public-speaking skills.
Strong organizational skills & ability to meet deadlines.
Self-management skills and self-started attitude highly valued.
Strong teamwork skills - the ability to work both within the product team and across other marketing teams
