Executive Job Description	A leading marketer of consumer packaged goods has an immediate opening for a Senior Product Manager at its headquarters office near Richmond, Virginia. This position will be primarily responsible for the growth and profitability of a product category. The focus is managing new product development, from ideation through launch. Duties also include creating and implementing category strategies, leading a cross-functional product development team, managing P&L’s, handling day to day aspects of the business, and interacting with sales, management and retail customers. The basic qualifications of the position include: 1) a Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field; 2) at least 5 to 7 years relevant experience in managing consumer driven product development; 3) at least 2 years experience in leading cross-functional teams; and 4) a proven track record of success managing product businesses. MBA degree and experience managing cross-functional teams preferred. Experience in the consumer packaged goods or durables industries REQUIRED The successful candidate will have proven ability to analyze financial information and other relevant business metrics, the ability to present and to persuade management and customers, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. He or she must be a creative, results driven self-starter with a strong work ethic, excellent technical, interpersonal and communication skills, and demonstrated ability to work independently and use good judgment.
