Executive Job Description | A leading global medical technology and diagnostics company that makes and sells medical devices, instruments and reagents seeks a Sr. Product Manager- Anesthesia for its NJ location. This person will be accountable for all marketing activities supporting a Product Line within a Business Platform of the Medical Surgical Systems Business Unit. They will be responsible for full life cycle management of the Product Line and will actively participate in the development of the Product Line and platform global strategies. They will launch and promote products through conferences, literature, clinical trials, and collateral development. Also, will be responsible for managing and providing support on existing marketed products and interfacing globally with internal and external customers.
KEY DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategy and Business Development - Support development of Business Unit and Business Platform Strategy - Identify trends in clinical practice, technology, regulatory pathways, and customer behavior. - Source and sense new concepts and ideas. - Benchmarks competition and stays fluent with state of the art in clinical practice - Identify and conduct initial diligence on new business relationships - Conduct detailed analyses of the Market and Sales Performance - Crafts impactful Business Models and Marketing Plans
Product Development - Will act as owner of the Product Line, ensuring maintenance of quality, regulatory, and manufacturing compliance. - Define product concepts and author customer requirements. - Lead cross-functional product development teams in development of new products. - Conduct market research to establish and reaffirm product success including, pricing, positioning, performance, and packaging. - Act as Voice of Customer in all product development decisions. - Create detailed financial models justifying projects.
Brand and Market Development - Will create marketing campaigns to drive financial performance and will establish sales budgets. Create dynamic selling tools for support of sales performance - Work globally to develop new markets for Product Line - Sponsor conduction of clinical trials for support of economic or outcome claims - Establishes key customer relationships, develops customer requirements, and proposes new product concepts - Build strong relationships with customers to ensure brand awareness - Build strong relationships with competitors and other players in the field - Provide monthly sales budgets, production demand budgets, and expense budgets - Organize and conduct clinical training programs - Will conducts Market Research.
Organization Development - Develops network of experts to advance Product Line goals and objectives - Teaches and trains colleagues in new skills - Seeks feedback from peers to continuously improve - Acts as a Mentor when acting in a supervisory capacity
WORK EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND EDUCATION REQUIRED: - Minimum of 3-5 years of business experience in the medical device industry with a minimum of 2 years in product and/or market management. Business experience may include marketing, sales, sales training, business development - Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred - Strong Technical Product & Marketing Knowledge - demonstrate strong understanding of products, customers, market/industry and competitive environment with at least 3-5 years of industry experience, including expertise in the medical device industry - Proven Strategic Thinking capability, alternative analysis to a situation, and efficient resource management - Creative in terms of problem solving approaches - Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills to work effectively across organizational boundaries, with customers and sales force - Drive for Success with a track record of execution, leadership, and excellence - Team Work ability to work well with cross functional teams, global colleagues and external customers - Comfort with Ambiguity, especially for identifying and assessing new trends and/or approaches - Wise judgment and critical thinking skills in decision making and decision making approaches - Proven capability to Translate Learnings/Knowledge into lasting knowledge/tools for leverage by others in future; thrives on sharing knowledge and training others |
