Executive Job Description | The Senior Factoring Underwriter will be responsible for the following:
Responsibilities Assist in the assessment of new deals before term sheet issuance (financial statement analysis and financial modeling, transaction structuring and pricing, participate in meetings with prospects, complete pre-screen credit approval packages, etc.); Manage the due diligence process (including analyzing due diligences results); Supervision of the completion of a comprehensive underwriting approval package (including making presentations to credit committee for approval); Facilitate the loan closing process (including negotiating legal documents). Developing solid working relationship with prospective borrowers, key referral sources, accountants, attorneys, field examiners, third-party appraisers, and other potential senior/junior lending partners

Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Finance or related field. MBA with a concentration in Finance is preferred. 8+ years commercial lending experience, including underwriting is a requirement. 3+ years of experience underwriting factoring or ABL transactions is required. Previous experience conducting transactions with private equity sponsors, agented and non-agented syndicated deals, transaction involving junior or B lenders, acquisition financing, ESOP transactions, and bulk purchases Working knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, and Word is essential in this role. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate through verbal and written communication skills are required. Proven organizational skills and be multi-task orientated are mandatory in this role. Ability to excel in a fast paced deal driven environment, with the ability to work independently with limited supervision Possess an in-depth understanding of various factoring products including Notification, Non-Notification, Recourse/Non-Recourse, and Receivable Management Ability to underwrite complex factoring and ABL transactions secured by accounts receivable and inventory with seasonal over-formula components and term loans that are cash flow based or secured by trademarks and other intellectual property Candidates must be either current US Citizens or Green Card holders. |
