Executive Job Description | SEC Reporting Executive – Multi-Corporate Scope
Our SEC Reporting Executive opportunity is like no other, and we don’t expect you are either. This is a corporate position with responsibility for directing the SEC Reporting Function for a company with 80+ diverse businesses units.
We need someone with a solid background and knowledge of SEC regulations, to lead all SEC filings consisting of the Company’s Annual Report on Form 10-K and related annual stockholders’ report, Quarterly Reports on Form 10-Q and the financial sections of the Company’s quarterly earnings releases.
Here's a snapshot of what you'll be doing You're needed as the subject matter expert on SEC accounting rules and regulations to advise multiple business line management on pertinent financial reporting disclosure requirements. We're looking to you to oversee completion of SEC comment letters and assist in responding to inquiries by the SEC and other regulatory bodies.
You'll be part of the Executive Suite where you'll influence and shape disclosures and address technical accounting matters included in the Company’s financial statements and SEC filings. This will include interaction with the national CPA firm with respect to technical accounting and disclosure matters, review of quarterly filings, audit of annual financial statements and periodic issuance of consents and comfort letters associated with the Company’s equity and debt offerings.
This role will keep you on the cutting edge of your profession because you'll be monitoring and implementing new accounting pronouncement disclosures promulgated by the FASB, SEC and other regulatory bodies. This includes being a key participant in development of Corporate Accounting Policy along with oversight and implementation of new financial accounting disclosures.
Your leadership will be appreciated as you lead and develop a professional accounting staff team who are engaged in financial reporting activities. Company growth will require continuous building of a leading edge financial reporting function and expertise among financial reporting team members while you provide direction to the team on key technical accounting and disclosure matters.
Here's a Summary of What You Will Need • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA – Public accounting experience preferred • 10+ years of significant accounting and reporting experience • 5+ years of supervisory/management experience • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to interact with senior finance and accounting professionals • Strong analytical skills, including demonstrated ability to research, draw conclusions and articulate recommendations to management. • Experience with Hyperion, Essbase, Oracle reporting tools • Familiarity with SOX requirements
