Executive Job Description
Real Estate Tax Manager with a public accounting firm background is needed for New York City. The Tax Manager is responsible for the efficient, accurate, complete, and timely review of all clients’ tax returns including individual, trust, partnership and corporate tax returns and multi-state returns. Advanced technical skills in a variety of real estate tax areas, along with well-developed and applied management and supervisory skills are required. The Tax Manager makes decisions on all but the most unusual tax situations. A Tax Manager should generally have at least seven years experience. Qualifications: An undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting and/or other appropriate academic major, as well as CPA certification; Approximately 7+ years experience working in tax for a public accounting firm, or real estate industry experience; Working knowledge of GoSystem software a plus; Candidate Must Have: CPA Certification; Undergrad Degree in Accounting or similar; Worked at no more than 3 positions within the last 10 years; At least 2 of the last 3 positions held were at public accounting firms.
Additional information: Please note we are looking for people who are going to be an obvious match for this role on paper. The majority focus of current experience must be in real estate tax. General experience in a number of tax areas or some limited exposure to real estate tax work is not acceptable. Bonus/Benefits: Bonus is based on performance and other considerations. Relocation: YES - Financial assistance for relocation is available. The salary range is 90 to 130K.
