Responsibilities • Lead PCS related projects and being accountable for their successful completion; • Develop and complete PCS preventive maintenance plans; • Provide technical expertise for the maintenance department, operations personnel, process hazard analysis teams, external contractors or consultants, and fellow engineers to meet business goals; • Responsible for the software configuration and programming of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Digital Control Systems (DCS) and safety systems (Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), Safety PLC); • Ensure the life cycle of process control technology (PCT) equipment is maintained; • Manage the development of drawing, construction, and labor bid packets ensuring that the parameters of the project meet applicable codes, design requirements and cost considerations. * Conducts bid meetings, evaluates bids, selects vendor(s), and ensures project contract gets written and submitted as appropriate; • Provide interpretation and analysis on installation and design standards to all PCS personnel; • Consult with other engineers and plant personnel (as appropriate/relevant) with regard to technical service and capital projects. * Determines scope of work for all assigned PCS projects/installations, ensuring that the scope fulfills the customers’ requirements. Prepares or assists in preparation of AFE and Appropriation Requests (AR) for projects; • Develop cost estimates, budgets and schedules for PCS installations on both labor and materials required for capital projects, technical services and maintenance functions. * Coordinates with the customer for expeditious completion of planned activities that adhere to budgetary and scheduling requirements.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline is required. 3 years of experience in process measurement and applications in a manufacturing environment; Experience in Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) including software/ hardware/ batch/ continuous systems is required. Knowledge of process instrumentation application, checkout, startup and maintenance; Experience and knowledge of the application, design, documentation and checkout and startup of motor control circuits. Solid project management experience is required. Candidates must be either current US Citizens or Green Card holders. |
