Executive Job Description
DESCRIPTION:
A: Purpose and Scope
The National Sales Manager is responsible for managing sales for specific national accounts in the grocery, drug and mass distribution channels. Manages a network of brokers and independent sales reps.

B. Responsibilities
• Responsible for developing sales and distribution in the drug, grocery and mass market channels. Should develop and implement sales strategies and reporting sales performance to management.
• Meet or exceed brand distribution objectives for new and existing products
• Provide accurate and timely forecast of sales and product needs.
• Resolve customer service issues and build strong relationships with national accounts.
• Provide direction and leadership for brokers/sales reps

C. Organization Relationships
The National Sales Manager reports directly to the President

REQUIREMENTS:
A. Education and Training
The National Sales Manager is required to have a four-year Business Administration degree with training in the following areas:
* Knowledge and understanding of consumer product sales at Food/Drug/Mass;
* Assessment and techniques of examining, questioning, evaluating and reporting sales performance;
* Additional skills required for managing sales, such as planning, organizing, communicating, and directing
* Should have strong people skills along with a “team” company attitude.

B. Technical Requirements
The National Sales Manager must be able to develop and execute effective sales presentations. The NSM is required to read and understand technical and non-technical documents as relate to the sales of and contracts for the company's products. This includes the ability to interface with both technical and non-technical personnel.

C. Managerial Experience
The National Sales Manger shall have a minimum of five years prior experience in the consumer products industry, preferably in the personal care products, calling on national accounts and managing sales reps/brokers to achieve sales and distribution quotas
