Executive Job Description | JOB DESCRIPTION
I. PRIMARY PURPOSE: Collaborates with a wide variety of internal functional areas such as sales, category management, marketing to develop proactive initiatives in major mass and drug retailers for the company’s branded products. Develop and manage strategic brand plan. Work in tandem with the marketing department and account managers to develop and execute strategic brand initiatives Primary liaison that Enables and Coordinates COMPANY internal HQ teams in initiatives from major mass and drug retailers. Implements and controls programs approved via the Marketing Planning Process with customer Brand Teams COMPANY strategy integration with branded product teams that may require the development and launch of programs
II. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum five (5) years experience in tier one NON-DURABLE CPG industry companies (no food, beverage, or pharmaceutical company experience will be considered) Demonstrate a successful track record of achievement and ability to work cross-functionally across multiple departments Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent sales presentation development and delivery skills- demonstrated creativity & problem solving skills. Expert level competency with Excel, PowerPoint and word applications. Working knowledge of ROI/effectiveness Very strong analytical and organizational skills. Marketing experience (product development, POP, Packaging etc.)
PREFERRED ADDITIONAL Corporate brand CPG selling experience. Category Management experience Participation in trade associations (NACDS, PLMA, FMI, etc.) Working knowledge of finance (margin analysis, product costing, quotes etc.) III. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The primary duties and responsibilities will be to in conjunction with the Director of Business Development, will be to develop and execute brand development programs for company’s branded products with national mass merchandisers and drug retailers, enables and coordinates sales and HQ teams to be more proactive in customer initiatives and act as primary liaison with clientele.
IV. CRITICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES Written and verbal communication skills. Understanding of the process that drives execution and collaboration between multiple client departments and able to facilitate and coordinate needs to internal HQ team’s Presentation development and delivery skills- Creativity & problem solving. Ability to understand ROI/effectiveness of initiatives and events. Ability to work within a highly motivated, fast paced environment. Computer skills specific to Microsoft Office Suite.
V. EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING (ex. B.A., CPA, etc.) Detail education and/or training necessary to succeed in the position) BS degree in business or marketing (MBA Preferred)
VI. PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS: Sales and distribution growth Creativity- presentation, development & delivery Account penetration- relationship building SCM performance (forecasting, scorecard, replenishment etc.)
