Our client is passionately seeking a proven strategic, innovative & highly creative Marketing expert with a classic marketing background.
Successful candidate will have experience growing new/existing specialty markets or channels in a highly- cross functional environment. Individual will be responsible for conception, all research, planning and execution of new and innovative market programs for the defined market. The Market Development Director will develop the annual operating plans including objectives, strategies, tactics and budget. Obtain annual market financial goals. Conceive and execute innovative market programs adopting a prototype, refine, validate, and scale up approach. Strong consumer insight, and must possess excellent ability to work cross-functionally throughout the organization. Capable of building and forging strong partnership with sales and end users is critical to success.
This is an excellent opportunity for an entrepreneurial marketing professional who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, managing multiple and diverse responsibilities, and running their own business. This individual will have full P&L accountability and autonomy to grown and run a small business unit within a larger organization. Candidate must show demonstrated track record of individual specific actions that drove volume and profit for a business, brand or product line.
Key Duties: •Uses field work and market research to create deep intimacy with specialized market needs. •Identifies the players—customers, distributors, potential partners, influencers. •Builds relationships with key market influencers, i.e., early adopter customers, Customer buying centers, thought leader, etc. •Understands and uses the value stream to get product sold and orders fulfilled, looking beyond old models. •Conducts solid analysis of the opportunity and risks. •Generates innovative approaches. •Develops smart strategies that include clear positioning, smart pricing, competitive advantage. •Finds creative paths of low resistance for implementation. •Creates executable plans. •Teams with R & D and Marketing to create new products and programs. •Develops early stage of the market and recommendations and plans for expansion. •Finds outside resources when needed. •Prototypes, refines, validate. •Initiates sales effort. •Participating in marketing alignment and project teams.
