Executive Job Description | The Manager of Marketing Development will be responsible to direct the Coatings, Adhesives, and Specialties (CAS) effort to develop and implement strategies for increasing business in existing and future CAS Adhesives, Inks, Paper, and Textiles end-use markets.
Responsibilities Direct the CAS adhesives, inks, and textiles market research, analysis, and planning activities to include the development of market focused business plans, mid to longer-term strategies, growth opportunity recommendations, and promotion and advertising plans. Direct the implementation of these plans and strategies; Direct all adhesives, inks, and textiles external market related activities and the creation of demand for CAS technologies through direct contact with industry end-users, industry associations, and customers. Direct the identification of new and emerging markets for CAS products and technologies; Effectively manage group of five (5) reports; guide and lead staff in a manner that will foster achievement of CAS business growth goals; Responsible for the definition and constant refinement of the CAS market development processes; Responsible for the alignment of Industrial Marketing activities with other regions. Oversee the application of tools within the Industrial Marketing group (e.g. Porter 5 forces, Diamond process, value analytics); Lead Diamond project teams in respective area of responsibility and provide coaching and sponsorship of Diamond project leaders within the direct reporting group; Direct all activities within the Industrial Marketing Adhesives unit to ensure effective coordination and integration within the CAS BU. Manage process interface between Industrial Marketing Adhesives, Inks, and Textiles group and Marketing Operations, Business Development, Sales and Communications.

Qualifications Bachelors Degree is required. 10 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing is required. 5 years of experience in marketing raw materials and/or finished product into the adhesives, inks, paper, or textile markets Demonstrated ability to identify and develop new business in new markets through contact with end-user and customers; Leadership and management experience; Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills; Technical understanding and intuition for customer/end-user issues; Strong strategic thinking skills; Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex, global environment is required. Candidates must be either current US Citizens or Green Card holders. |
