Overview: This position plays a key role in advancing the agency’s growth strategy by establishing new client relationships and securing new billings for the agency
Key Responsibilities Manage all phases of a business development pipeline Generate, develop, qualify and track leads and opportunities Identify very targeted high value growth opportunities and develop tailored client acquisition strategies Deliver unique, creative and tactical requests to meet specific prospect needs and challenges Lead the charge and prepare RFPs with exceptional quality and timeliness Maintain expert-level knowledge of digital and offline marketing trends and be able to effectively convey that expertise to clients / prospective clients Build and maintain strong relationships within the digital marketing industry Achieve or ideally exceed specific measurable objectives
The VP of Business Development will be responsible for ensuring that new business efforts focus on identified premium brands. Ability to “open doors” via established connections, reputation and networking abilities. The ability to multi-task between executive responsibilities, management responsibilities and client expectations is paramount. The ability to create a seamless communication environment between Account Services, Creative Services, Interactive Services, Media Services and Integrated Production Services is paramount. The ability to work within a creative centric environment and produce exceptional new business pitches. An intrinsic understanding of the luxury goods and ultra-luxury consumer market is paramount The ability to deliver 100% perfection to the client while maintaining gross margin requirement. A total understanding of new media, broadcast and traditional media products, services, pricing and production timelines. Exceptional ability to communicate effectively and build trust. The ability to manage and continually cultivate a relevant new business development team.
What you must have to qualify for this job: • 8+ years related experience, ideally in an agency environment • 4+ years of progressive management experience at a senior level • Luxury and/or ultra-luxury brand experience required • BA/BS in marketing, advertising, business or related field preferred, Master’s degree a plus • Strong knowledge of the digital marketing and a passion for all things digital • Superior analytical skills including marketing strategy, customer requirement and success factors, and a value-based selling process • Advanced negotiating skills and contract experience • Exceptional writing and presentation skills are required • Needs to come to the table with high-end connections to luxury products (Rolex, Prada, Armani, etc…). • Proven ability to thrive in a fast paced and multi faceted business • Strong goal orientation • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral • Familiarity with overall website development, creative processes, UI design, information architecting, e-commerce • Proven ability to build trust • Must be a proven team builder with strong problem solving skills • Ability to travel extensively including international travel (up to 75%) • Ability to work additional hours based on workload with our without advance notification • Need to be highly polished, cultured, high class image a must! • Capable entertain high-end clients and prospects. US citizens out of the euro market would be interesting
