We have a retained search underway for a Director of HR in the Middle East. My client is a major American engineering organization with offices and projects located throughout the world. They want to add a senior level HR management professional, in the Middle East to manage their ongoing HR activities in the region, including Bahrain, Saudi, Qatar, Iraq, Afghanistan and other countries. There are about 7-8 HR staff there now and about 1000 employees in the region. They are offering an exceptionally competitive salary, plus married status accommodations, if required and an expat package, tax equalization, bonus program, etc. This is a key position for a strategic thinker with strong experience and academic qualifications. An MBA, SPHR and GPHR would be highly regarded. Experience in the Middle East is important. The job has regional responsibilities, so it is not a field or project position, and someone who has lived and worked in the Middle East is needed. They want someone who has US compliance experience in tax, immigration and other related US multinational operations, so getting someone from America is essential. Must be willing to live and work in Saudi Arabia or other areas in the region as required.
