Executive Job Description | Human Resources Director Location: Tucson, AZ Salary & bonus Relocation assistance provided
Develops and executes strategic direction of HR initiatives across the Business Unit. Responsible for providing direction to line management on execution of HR initiatives to include compensation analysis, retention, employee relations, legal compliance, performance management, etc. Develops and drives programs and initiatives and is viewed as a strategic business partner, change agent, and member of the management team. Influences senior management in the development of solutions through cultural process and organizational development. Accountable for ensuring HR team is identifying efficiencies, provides consistency, streamlines processes, methodologies, and practices in the areas of human resources. Expected to manage effectively within a complex environment where dealing with some level of ambiguity is required. Regularly interacts with all levels of management. Provides counsel to leadership to ensure performance planning is in alignment with corporate goals/objectives. Identifies and analyzes trends in human resources and formulates strategies for action plans to address issues identified (i.e., proactive training, turnover/retention strategies, career development modeling, etc.). In partnership with the Corporate HR leadership, executes on strategies for effective recruiting and staffing initiatives, talent management and total compensation. Provides direction to HR and management team on execution of compensation strategy. In concert with senior management, identifies current and future organizational needs/structure and works with HR team to ensure alignment within business unit and in the company. In partnership with Sr. Director of HR, leads the identification, development and execution of corporate-wide initiatives (i.e., Cultural Transition, Employee Satisfaction, achievement of policy deployment initiatives associated with Companys Key Business Results, etc.).
Skill & Experience: Minimum of 8 years related experience in a series of progressively more responsible HR positions, including a minimum of 4 years in a leadership capacity. Experience must include at least 6 years of high level organizational involvement with specific experience developing and executing strategy for recruitment, retention, organizational design, and talent management/employee development. Must have solid experience in fundamentals of HR including compensation, training, recruiting, performance management, employee relations and policy administration. Must have demonstrated initiative in past performance and be capable of functioning in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment. Must possess strong interpersonal, communication and listening skills. Demonstrated experience as a progressive, creative change agent with excellent problem solving skills. B.S. in HR Management, business or related field; Masters Degree or PHR/SPHR certification preferred. Experience in a Biotech or Medical Device company a plus
