General Manager of Sales & Marketing
Western, NY area

Position Summary
Responsible for overall strategic vision and execution of Sales, Marketing, and Procurement for our Tobacco portfolio. Ability to manage cross functional teams in Direct to Consumer, and Wholesale Business Segments.
Develop multi-year business plan that increases market share for our Warrior and Private Label brands in alignment with overall company strategy. Ability to achieve desired ROI thru developing proprietary brands, innovative sales and marketing channels, and product offerings. This position will be responsible for managing the expected performance within the plan along with developing and managing the team that will help drive the execution of the plan. This position will not be directly responsible for managing the “operations” of the organization but will be expected to work with the internal shared services group to deliver the desired results.
Responsibilities:
• Manages the development of Sales & Marketing plans for Consumer, Retail and Wholesale Distribution channels with a focus on Proprietary Brands that optimize business results with defined business practices and evaluation methods.
• Continual collaboration with the Marketing Group to ensure execution of plans for channels drive desired results and as needed, augment activities to improve results.
• Is responsible for building and maintaining up to date best practices processes and metric to drive success in the tobacco businesses.
• Manages manufacturing relationships to ensure continual alignment with meeting our business needs.
• Responsible for directing the development of inventory plans and managing the procurement of all product and inventory levels that effectively meet business demands within cost margins and maximizing Return on Equity.
• Manages relationship, cost and service levels of contracted service providers.
• Manages departmental talent through mentoring, coaching and developing staff to ensure cross pollination of knowledge while utilizing a Business Process methodology to ensure documented processes with desired repeatable outcomes are evident.
• Utilizing financial tools evaluates financial statements and results regularly to determine progress and status in attaining objectives. Revises objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions.
• Works with LPAC Manager and owner(s) to ensure all activities are aligned with the owner(s) position on regulatory and compliance guidelines including Federal, State and Native requirements.
• Establishes performance driven goals for staff, monitors results and executes action plans effectively to meet functional objectives.
• Stays apprised of the external business environment to anticipate business climate changes and their affect on business units in the future. Utilizes this information to direct internal strategies.
• Fosters an open communication environment to enable the organization’s culture to reflect the strategy and objectives.

Education/Experience:
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Master’s degree preferred.
• Fifteen years experience as an entrepreneur or in a senior management role.
• Fifteen years supervisory experience.
Skills
Required:
• Strong strategic, analytic and critical thinking skills
• Solid progressive track in management of people
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Desirable:
• Experience working in a team based, collaborative environment is highly desirable. Comfortable with, supportive of, and highly effective working on and with teams in a formal project management environment.
• Experience with Mergers and Acquisitions desired
• In depth knowledge and expertise with Legal process, Public Affairs and Compliance desired
