Executive Job Description	Our client is seeking a proven leader in the area of Software Engineering interested in leading a software team that is developing next generation solar inverter systems technology for residential and commercial use. The qualifications, skills and requirements for the role are listed below. The Software Director will lead a team of 10-20 people in charge of both embedded and applications level software with direct, web, and handheld device UI’s. The Director will be accountable for product and process development as well as schedule and resource management. They will be capable of supplementing the team with high quality talent, enforcing the development process, and maximizing the department output with the given resources. Innovation is critical, whether in the product or in the development process. The Director will report to the VP of Engineering, and will work along with HW, ASIC, Communication and Mechanical directors. Requirements: • 10 plus years software development experience with a minimum of 5 years management experience in complex software development • Proven leadership skills • Strong software development project management • Must have commercial software development experience • Have worked in a C C++ or Java development environment on Linux or UNIX platforms. • BS in engineering, computer science, or related technical field (MS preferred). • Relocation to San Francisco Bay Area is required.
