Executive Job Description | A leading food manufacturer is accepting resumes for a Corporate Director of Sales and Marketing to join their team; located in La Puente, CA 91744.
Job Summary: Development of marketing organizational strategies, contributing marketing information, analysis, and recommendations to President and COO for strategic direction; establishing marketing objectives in line with organizational objectives. Recommending annual profit contribution by identifying and assessing competitors; evaluating and establishing pricing strategies; developing and evaluating advertising and merchandising programs; developing and implementing trade promotions and attending trade show.
Essential Functions/Duties:
1. Plans and directs all aspects of company’s marketing and sales policies, objectives, and initiatives. 2. Develops and oversees the sales function, ensuring the department employees and sales plan are organized to achieve maximum sales volume. 3. Responsibility for orientation and training of sales force. 4. Evaluating marketing trends; determining production, and designing marketing systems. 5. Developing marketing financial strategies by estimating, forecasting, and anticipating marketing requirements, trends, and variances. 6. Establish and maintain personal long-term customer relationships with key owners and owner representatives to influence opportunities.
Knowledge, Skill and Experience:
Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required: BA Degree, MBA preferred.
Minimum Experience required: 10 years + experience in a Senior Management position in Sales and Marketing
Responsibility and Authority: 1. Qualify, assess and review potential customers and opportunities; consistently seek to expand the scope of business with key accounts either directly or through sales staff. 2. Directly manage major and critical developing client accounts and coordinate the management of all other accounts. There is extensive travel required initially to build relationships. 3. Manages the sales forecast at a team level; establish clear performance expectations for sales force. 4. Provide consistent feedback to motivate sales people toward improved performance. 5. Direct and oversee the company marketing function to identify and develop new customers for products and services. Recruit, hire, train and manage sales personnel including compensation structures and performance measurement and evaluation. 6. Work with the sales team to explore new market and service opportunities and to develop new business strategies to enhance market share and improve overall efficiencies of company services.
