Executive Job Description | Director Small Medium Business Strategy
Location: CALIFORNIA CANDIDATES - STAFFING FIRM A PLUS!! Salary Mid Point: 170K
Reporting to our VP – National Sales, this position plays a critical role in driving U.S. Staffing to win highly profitable new business, consult with and meet the needs of clients in new verticals, and grow overall market share by developing and implementing the Small Medium Business (SMB) sales strategy. Specific accountabilities include:
· Institutionalizing and socialzing the SMB sales strategy with VP/GM’s, Regional Directors, Branch Managers and sales teams in order to bring about a cultural shift resulting in a change of the business mix.
· Partnering with U.S. Marketing to ascertain and anticipate workforce trends and subsequent client needs in targeted SMB verticals. Utilizing this information, develop specific “go to market” strategies in each key vertical.
· Ensuring a consistent business planning model is in place and executed at the Branch and Region levels.
· Partnering with Human Resources to develop best-in-class sales and sales management curriculum.
· Utilizing sales performance reports to create visibility and accountablilty to ensure results at the branch level of the SMB sales strategy.
Client (40%)
· Designs and delivers a “go to market” strategy that reflects current and anticipated workforce trends and client needs in target verticals
· Deploys the SMB sales strategy to ensure that proactive SMB sales activities are in place for clients in every Division
· Leverage current client relationships and present opportunities to VP/GM’s, RD’s, Branch Managers and RSE’s/MSE’s to increase the business mix of SMB clients
People Leadership (25%)
· Ensures the development and delivery of Sales training and development plans.
· Quantifiably enhance U.S. Staffing’s ability to determine current and future SMB client workforce needs.
· Creates visibility and drives commitment to achieve SMB Sales Strategy
Thought Leadership (20%)
· Emerge as an externally recognized expert in the current and future business landscape, workforce and talent needs, and demographic trends in targeted SMB verticals
· Uses thought-leading research to enhance the brand in the marketplace and create improved SMB revenue opportunities through strategic alliances with current and potential clients
· Strategically partners with governments, corporations, media, academic institutions and/or industry associations to learn and deliver on our brand promise as thought leaders
Day-to-Day (15%)
· Balances the day-to-day challenges of the job through effective time management
· Communicates with each Region to ensure right focus on branch SMB business plans
· Monitors / tracks results from KPI’s and give rewards and recognition
· Applies high level concepts and strategies to day-to-day tasks
· Coordinates SMB sales activities and marketing collateral
Qualifications
· A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, or Marketing preferred or equivalent combination of work experience is required.
· 7-10 years of progressively responsible sales and sales management experience i.e.:
o Staffing Branch, Regional or Metro Management
o Sales, Sales Management, Regional Sales Leadership
o Professional Services Sales, Sales Management, Regional Sales Leadership |
